Support School Day Performances and DiscoverDance Scholarship Funding
DiscoverDance, an outreach program, furthers Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet's mission to inspire, educate and enrich the lives of community members; specifically young students and their families. The program's four-tiered framework provides children of various socioeconomic backgrounds an opportunity to see, experience and then train as a dancer.
Emerging Artists Underwriter
Support one of CPYB’s choreographic initiatives, ChoreoPlan and FirstSteps
Creating new ballets on pre-professional dancers is a win-win situation. For aspiring and working choreographers, it is an opportunity to create original, classically based works on a company of CPYB dancers. And CPYB students grow in new directions. Through their participation in the making of a new work, dancers learn to pick up choreography faster and as a result, become flexible instruments for dancemakers and more marketable. ChoreoPlan and FirstSteps alternate annually. With ChoreoPlan, aspiring choreographers spend 40 rehearsal hours creating works with CPYB dancers. In FirstSteps, CPYB students take on the roles of choreographer and dancer. You will be given the opportunity to meet the choreographers and bring guests to the in-studio performances (2) in January.
Limit 1 available.
New Works Underwriter
Critical support for a world premiere of new choreography
CPYB is pleased to offer aspiring and working choreographers the opportunity to create original, classically based works on a company of well-trained, classical dancers at CPYB. The collaborative process feeds the artists in ways they don’t always expect. And CPYB students grow in new directions after working with visiting dancemakers, leaving the students with distinct advantages over their peers. The studio rehearsal, dress rehearsal, and ultimately the world premiere gives dancers the opportunity to perform in a real-world, professional environment. World Premiere Underwriters have the option to utilize one Backstage at the Ballet tour for four in addition to tickets to the production for your guests.
CPYB Endowment Fund
Preserve the future of CPYB for another 60 years!
Change lives through dance! Continue to build upon the vision of Founding Artistic Director Marcia Dale Weary with a gift to the CPYB endowment fund. You may choose how this gift is listed in four annual performance programs. Endowment underwriters have the option to utilize one Backstage at the Ballet tour for four, four tickets to each production during a CPYB performance season, private invitation to attend an in-studio rehearsal, and dinner with CPYB CEO Nicholas Ade.
