August Course, is taught by the esteemed CPYB academic year faculty. Focusing on refining ballet technique and gaining strength and stamina, this intensive course is ideal for beginning, intermediate and advanced students. Students may choose either the first week or both weeks of study.
Beginning Ballet Level A is designed for students age 6+ who have zero to one year of training (not including preschool classes). Students learn the basic ballet positions, the progression of a standard ballet barre, and learning the French vocabulary that defines all the steps in ballet. These students also move into beginning center work, away from the support of the ballet barre.
The CPYB Teachers Workshop provides a distinctive learning environment to study the proven Teaching Syllabus© developed by Marcia Dale Weary, one of the nation’s foremost instructors of classical ballet.
