Outreach
CPYB is committed to nurturing and developing future generations of artists and maintaining a high standard of arts in our community through…
Collaborations
CPYB has partnered with various educational and community groups as a way to expand learning in and through the arts.
- DiscoverDance gives at-risk, financially needy students in second and third grade the opportunity to study ballet, and is FREE to participating schools.
Lecture Demonstrations
CPYB provides schools and community groups with the opportunity to understand ballet through our “Dance Into Life” program through the following initiatives:
- Bring movement into the classroom through in-school dance classes and lecture demonstrations.
- Teach your academic curriculum through movement and dance by exploring our Artist-in-Residency program.
CPYB is listed in the Directory of Pennsylvania Artist-in-Education. If your school is hosting, CPYB can offer week-long residencies that are tailored to your students and to your curriculum. Special applications are necessary for the Artist-in-Residency program and are available through the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. - Calling all Girl Scouts! Receive your dance badge through our Girl Scout Badge Program. This program is designed to continue with the tradition of “helping today’s girls become tomorrow’s leaders” by providing meaningful educational experiences that contribute to the cultural development of students.
Performances
CPYB invites students to specially-priced matinee performances. We also offer pre-performance and post-performance lecture demonstrations which build upon the CPYB theatre experience. CPYB educational initiatives include: Lecture Demonstrations, Study Guides, Pre-Performance Q & A and Post-Performance Q & A.
