Ballet
Classical ballet for those who want to learn or continue previous ballet training. Class includes the ballet barre, center work, and across the floor dance combinations. This is a great way to tone up and increase circulation. Taught by CPYB Faculty.

Pilates Mat
An exercise class based on basic dance stretches first developed by Joseph Pilates with the goal of increasing strength and flexibility without increasing bulk. Most professional dancers add some level of Pilates work into their regular fitness regime. These classes are 45 minutes in length. Taught by guest faculty.

Hip Hop
Hip Hop is a fun and challenging class. Students will strengthen their bodies, improve coordination, gain confidence, and become more knowledgeable in hip hop. Taught by Jason Reed.

Tap
Tap class helps the student improve posture and develop rhythm and coordination. Precise musicality and classroom etiquette are emphasized. Learning simple tap dances improves cognitive thinking skills as the student learns to put steps together in a variety of ways. Taught by Tanya Doporcyk.

Special Dress Code Note
Open Program students may wear loose, comfortable clothing such as an overshirt with tights or leggings, or students may wear regular CPYB dress code attire. Depending on the class, ballet slippers, jazz shoes, or dance sneakers may be worn. All attire must be neat. Students from CPYB’s Pre-Professional Program MUST wear CPYB dress code at all times, even in Open classes.
